Changes to Royal Mail PAF® Licence from 1st April 2010
As authorised resellers of the Royal Mail PAF® we are required to make you aware that the licence terms set by the Royal Mail are going to be changing, from the 1st of April 2010. After a lengthy consultation, the Royal Mail published a new licence agreement for all PAF® Solution Providers.
This will effect the pricing and selling options offered by ePostcode.com, but we will continue to deliver one of the most competitively priced Web Service Address Management Solutions in the UK.
BUYING CREDITS
RE-INTRODUCTION OF SMALLER CREDIT PACKS - Due to the changes taking place, we will now offer a minimum of 100 credits. For your benefit we will still continue to offer Pay As You Go pricing for up to 80,000 credits.
PER USER LICENCE NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR ALL NON PUBLIC USE - Those using a non-public application or website will require either a Per User Licence or a 'Pay as you go' credit pack.
INTRODUCTION OF PAY AS YOU GO CREDITS FOR NON PUBLIC USE - Those using a non-public application or web
site will be able to purchase credits on a pay as you go basis, albeit the licence cost is considerably higher than the public use licence.
SEPARATE PAY PER CLICK PACK FOR ADDRESSES & GEOGRAPHIC INFO - Geographic information and addresses will require separate credit packs; i.e. an address and distance from point, should be purchased using their respective credit packs.
CREDITS WILL BE VALID FOR A FULL YEAR - This will benefit customers who use the service intermittently.
PER USER LICENCE (FULL PAF®& STREET LEVEL)
PER USER LICENCE INTRODUCTION - We are still able to offer Per User Licences. This will benefit larger users and those organisations that require multiple accounts.
Those using ePostcode.com with non-public facing websites, intranets and desktop applications in-house you now have choice of purchasing User Licences or using a 'Pay as you go' pricing model.
HOW THE PER USER LICENCE WORKS - Buying a Per User Licence is easy and affordable. All you need to do is buy the number of Per User Licences that you require, along with the required credits.
PER SERVER
Server Licences have now been removed; these will be replaced by the Per User Licences or Pay as You Go Credits.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
We will ensure that the PAF® changes cause as little disruption as possible. All the technical changes will be made by The ePostcode.com Team to make this period of change as smooth as possible for all customers. TAKING ACTION
ePostcode.com will ensure minimal disruption to the Web Service over this period. In most cases, it may benefit our customers to have a brief consultation with our sales or technical staff to find out what licence package best fits their address management requirements.
